Powerline BSG10X home gym review

By irontony

home gymThe Powerline BSG10X is an excellent home gym for the workout novice. With a terrific number of exercises available (over 40) for the price, and individual components that provide enough customization to fit almost any preference, the BSG10X is a great starting point for anyone interested in owning a home gym.

The Powerline BSG10X takes up a relatively small amount of space when compared to similar home gyms with the same functionality. The footprint requires a long space rather than a long and wide space, which is perfect if you have a limited amount of room in your abode.

The design is also highly convenient, with no need to constantly change the cables with each exercise. Speaking of the cabling design, the manufacturers have utilized a pulley system which can withstand 2200lbs of tension – well above the machines lifting capacity.

I was very impressed by the ease at which the Powerline BSG10X could be set up. Within just 30 to 40 minutes, the machine was fully functional. This can be attributed design of the product, with just 9 bolts required to secure all the pieces together.

The weight stack is adjustable numerous times throughout its applicable range, and almost every piece of the Powerline BSG10X can be altered to suit an individual’s preferences.

For example, the arm / leg press component can be altered to suit 8 different positions, while the pulleys can be put in high, medium, or low functions.

Set up was particularly easy, and the design is extremely sturdy and durable. I should also mention that 10 year guarantee on the frame which comes as standard.

Body Solid Smith Machine is sturdy powerhouse equipment

By irontony

body guyThe PowerLine Smith Machine is a true powerhouse that is often imitated but never duplicated. It’s a sophisticated combination of free weight power and resistance coupled with the safety and control of a machine.

The Body-Solid Pro-Smith Machine uses four 2″ x 2″ 12 gauge steel pillars to support and guide the patented Super-Glide carriage during your most vigorous sets. 14 lockout positions and adjustable safeties assure the lifter ultimate safety while striving for greater muscle gains.

Body Solid have gone to a lot of trouble to make this a sturdy machine. That may sound like a cliché but a problem some smith machines have (especially cheaper ones designed for the home) is they move. They either warp or shudder or both. This one doesn’t.

PowerLine has taken the best equipment out of the health club and engineered it to their own uncompromising standards. Best of all, they made it affordable!
